You can thank the curator’s very creative son for the “dead thing” label on the dissected pigeon, but we find it suitably descriptive so there it remains.  The lab work has been a little slow moving this week, although I did manage to ready the sandhill crane for the beetles so we put that in and took a few things out — nothing crazy.  Next week I’m going to start going through the mammal and avian freezers to sort through what exactly is taking up so much space.  I’m sure to find some interesting things!
