My brother-in-law found this creature in his father’s attic last year, and I’d love to know what it is! The house is located in Denmark but I don’t know if thast is relevant or not. His father hadn’t lived there long when it was found so it might have been there for a long period of time.
Thanks in advance! :)
THIS IS SO COOL
I’m 95% certain that it is a domestic cat. I’m basing this assessment off of the large, oblong-shaped ocular orbitals, the size and shape of visible incisors and the apparent lack of multiple molars (cats only have three molars; 2 premolars, 1 large molar), round quality of the cranium, and the unlikelihood that there would be any other type of animal stuck in an attic in Denmark. Also, in the second picture it’s easy to visualize the paw of the creature; my only other guess would be a raccoon, but judging by that second photo it appears to have locomotive qualities indicative of a digitigrade animal, not plantigrade like a raccoon. Thanks for the submission!
