My friend went to an expo in Salt Lake City and this was a submission for a taxidermy contest. I thought you guys would like to see this. I think it’s pretty awesome.

This is sincerely brilliant.  The ability of the taxidermist to capture such a dynamic scene and make it appear literally weightless and frozen in time is something to commend.  This is why I have so much respect for taxidermy and why I hold it in such high esteem as an artform — it’s sculptural, exciting, difficult, phenomenal.  I would love to know who the artist was!
